Just venting

DH and I were planning on moving to Fl (he wanted to more than I did) this summer, but the other day, he brought up the idea of staying here for a few years since we are trying to have a baby soon and that way my parents would help us, since they babysit for all of the grandkids... DH just told his mom about our new plans, and basically she just feels he is giving up all of his dreams for me. She didn't come out and say it, but I know that's how she feels... and it's so frustrating! She still sees him as her little boy who is very ambitious and follows his dreams, whatever they may be and how crazy they are, whereas now he wants to settle down and start our own life and do what's right for our family.... It's so frustrating b/c she lives in CT and doesn't see how he's changed and matured... Ahh, so frustrating since now I look like the bad one when he is the one initiating staying here vent over! Thanks!

what did your DH say about what his mom said? did he defend you?

He totally defended me and told her he was just maturing and wants different things in life right now than when he was young. He told in a few years we would move, but for now, this is prolly our best bet... So yeah, he definitely defended our decision, it just still makes me feel bad to know that she is disappointed and kinda things it's my fauilt. But hey, if t hat's my only probleem with MIL, than thats ok!
