Just started reading the first book in The House of Night Series...
and I like the concept of the book so far, but I'm not loving the way it's written...
Anyone read these books? Thoughts?

i just finished book 7 last week... i loved it...
i dont really notice "the way things are written" ... whether its written well or written poorly... i dont know the difference... the story and characters are what i pay attention to.

I said the same thing! I thought it was a great idea. I just don't like the writing. I read the first four I think? They've come out with a few new ones since I had read them, so I'm thinking of picking them back up if I have nothing else to read.
I know Ang is reading them now and really likes them!

I thought they started out ok but then I thought they got really strange. I didn't read the last one.
I did like them better than the Vampire Diaries books. I think that show is much better than those books were.

Oh I totally agree...I read the Vampire Diaries after the show started and was so disappointed! I skimmed through the last book because it was so bad 
The show is my favorite vampire show on TV! I  Damon!!!

I read them all.. I liked them better than the vampire Diaries series.. although the tv show is better than the books..
