Just some beginning stage pondering (re: hair)
I am not super serious, but have been giving some thought to cutting my hair very short. I have been growing my hair long since I cut it (and hated it) after we got married nearly 3 years ago.
When I cut it, it was about shoulder length and I just hated it. I do not like "in-between" lengths on me. I have had chin length and like it at the time, long and super long which I have always loved, but get tired of easily, once it starts to do nothing and just looks like it's there.
Anything from the shoulder to boob length, I HATE on me. When I have cut it that length I have hated it and when I am growing out my shorter hair and it reaches that length I HATE how I look until it gets past the in-between point.
Here is a picture of what my hair looks like now:
Here are pictures of what I would consider doing if i cut it short (except I do not thing I would make the front on the one side quite as drastically long as Rihanna has it):
Any thoughts? Do you think it would look better short than long? I am not sure if I could or should brave it and chop all of my hair off. I get so attached to my hair (especially when it is long) and get so worried about hating how I look afterwards . . .

Since you have long layers now I think the cut would be really cute and tredy except BEWARE of the long layers falling into your face...which then leads to pushing it behind your ears....and then you won't see the awesome cut anyway...you'll just have a bob tucked behind your ears.
(This happened to me...I hate hair in my face and have ajob where I'm always running aroud)
Good luck!! Let us know what you decide

I loved your newlywed chop and thought it looked great, so you may not want to listen to me!!
Anyway, I pretty much started with the "Posh Bob" in the fall and loved it but after four months thought I wanted to grow it out or cut it really short (I really had/have no idea) so I had my girl take some of the dramatic angle out of the cut and now it's just a slightly forward angled chin length bob which I am not loving and can't wait for it to grow a little so I can have it more heavily angled again!

I have the same hair history as you and cut it all off ala Rhianna in Oct. I am getting it cut tonight and it's at a point where it can grow out or needs to be cut and I'm goign back and forth. I LOVE it short - I think I'll keep it thru the summer then maybe grow it out next year. I didn't know I'd end up liking it so much - it's so much easier to do in the morning. I do miss my long hair sometimes though but nto as much as I did at first. anyway I say go for it!!
