Just got back from my wkly appt and grrhh!
i'm almost 39 weeks and he didn't do an internal!
i've been looking forward to my weekly appt so i can know how far i am. last week i was 1cm dilated and i want to know if it changed or not! 
aren't they suppose to do one everytime during the weekly appt?

I think it depends on the dr. My office does one every week from 36 weeks on.

depends on the doc...ive had internals since 35 wks...my best friend didnt have one at her appt at 39wks but went into labour before her next appt...she was only a fingertip at her 39wks appt. i dont think it really does anything other then make you think that things are coming faster...i was 2-3 at my last two appts. and my due date was today and im still here...so really just makes you think something may happen sooner and it dosent...
