Just got back from my 6wk appointment - DR said some women never lose the linea nigra!

I asked my obgyn when the linea nigra would go away and the doctor said it never goes away for some woman! I hate this ugly dark line on my belly.

Anyone still have the line after a year?

I did, but it's gone now. (but it won't be for long Chat Icon ) I think it took almost 2 years for mine to go away.

I didn't think mine was ever going to go away---DS is almost 16 months and its super faint, I am not sure anyone else but me would notice it at this point Chat Icon

LOL...I just looked and it's gone...I mean, I would hope so being thatit's been almost 4 years.

I know it faded tremendously in the first six months and the gradually it wasn't even noticeable...

i don't know the statistics, but i think it does go away for most women.

i had it with DS and it went away within a few months. this pregnancy i don't even have it (yet... i am 29 weeks... but last time it was there from like 20 wks).

my sister had 4 pregnancies and had the line every time and it went away every time.

i'm sure yours will disappear eventually too Chat Icon

I had it with my first son..it disappeared a few weeks after having him.

This time around I am 29 weeks and don't have one! My mom said she only had it for the first pregnancy and never again...

Mine lasted a while after I had my first, but it did go away. I don't remember exactly when. I was just thinking about that last night because I want the one I have now to be gone.

I'm one of them. I had it 9 years ago with my dd and it faded over the years t it still remained. When I became pg 7 years later it darkened up immdiately. Now it'll neve go away since I'm always pg!Chat Icon
Was your baby born with it? Mine was but the last 2 weren't. She had the dark line for almost 16 weeks.
