Just Got Back From Cow Harbor Day..
 The Crowd was unbelievable.
We parked up SOME hill..LOL..GREAT work out. DH was dying..LOL...
We had a really nice time.
The parade was great as usual.
I kept my eyes peeled, but, I saw no LIFers. I ran into A LOT of people from the neighborhood, ex coworkers, etc.
My sister was with me and it was like a HS Reunion for her (She only graduated in 2003).
It was a really nice day.

We were there too!
The crowd is like Mardi Gras!
We go at 11, walk around, watch the parade & go home!
It's just too insane after 1pm!
Maybe when DD is a little older we'll stay longer...
I saw Liza & her adorable little munchkin for a second!!!!

We got there around 11:45 and sat on the grass in front of the building next to the little Chase ATM building, watched the parade, walked down to the park, had cheeseburgers and went home!
I thought we were going to have to carry Bailey up the HILLS we had to walk up to get back to the car!!
I think we were home by 2PM. Bailey is out like a light!

Awww...Too bad Rudy & Bailey couldn't meet! Rudy was scared to death w/ all of the loud music from the bands & bagpipers in the parade.
We were standing in front of that store that's going to be a wine cellar/tasting place (a couple of stores away from Heather's & Lic's).

We went and had a great time. I can't believe I've never gone before! We got Ryan some pj's and pants from one booth and of course got some ice cream too.

Years ago, Northport was known as Cow Harbor because there were lots of cows by the harbor. Anyway, the town was established around 1897 as Northport. Starting I don't know when, but as early as my own memory serves, every September we would have Cow Harbor day celebrating the town. The Saturday would be the 5K run with runners from all over the world. The Sunday following (for a few years, it was the week after) it had a parade with local schools and organizations marching, bagpipers, the FD, assembly people, etc, and after the parade, there was just a huge celebration. Stores would set up tables on the sidewalks, the park would have more booths and stuff and main street was just closed off to cars.
In 1998, I think, to celebrate 101 years, the theme was 101 dalmations.
While it is a nightmare to work (should you work retail in downtown npt,) it is a blast to go to.

by the time we saw eachother, we were literally passing each other - we were following frieds, Andrea was following her DH and DD, and both of us were like - ack - we are losing our people!!!
I saw your gorgeous daughter 1st, and then I was looking for that beautiful blonde woman Andrea - you have a gorgeous family!!!

My sisters BF worked a stand today. He showed up at my parents house at 6:30PM. We asked him "How was it?...He gave a LOOK. LOL...
I marched in the 100 Year Celebration parade with the Npt HS Alumni (Band). It was awesome.
