Just curious...what is your cleaning routine at home?

The making the bed post made me think of this...

how often do you change/wash bedsheets, blankets, clean the bathroom, kitchen, vacuum, etc


Maybe this will help me pick up the pace of my own routine

Change bedding...once a week

Clean bathroom - every other day

Kitchen - every day I clean but I mop and clean the appliances 2-3 times a week

Vacuum - averages every other day

Dust - light dusting is every other day and heavy dusting once a week

Laundry is done on average - 3x per week - about 4-5 loads.

Well, I am a bit obsessive so my answers may not be the "norm".

I vacuum at least 4 times a week.

I clean the bathrooms at least 4 times a week.

I wash bedding every week.

I clean my kitchen after every use.

I dust about 2-3 times a week. We get A LOT of sun and have dark wood.

Im Anal about a clean house...to a fault.

I do a thorough cleaning every weekend. Although I wish I could clean more often than that, I work full-time, have 1 year old and our house is about 4,000 sq. feet.

Change sheets about once a week
Vaccuum/Sweep Daily (usually just hallway/LR/Kitchen...high traffic areas)
Dust 2x a week depending
Steam Mop floors every other day give or take.

Eh - I thinik people have different ideas of 'cleaning' -
I would say I clean my bathroom once a week - But when I say that I mean I scrub the tub, tiles, floor, toilet etc etc once a week - I wipe it down probably twice a day -

My cousin will say she cleans the bathroom every day - but she considers wiping the toothpaste out of the sink 'cleaning'

I keep everything clean on a daily basis so it's not a MAJOR all day project to clean on the weekends - The weekends are more for the bathroom and floors .....Everything else is done daily throughout the week.

Laundry is done randomly all week - I change my sheets/bedding once a week -

Sheets - changed & washed weekly.

Blankets - either biweekly or once a month depending...

Bathroom - normally clean once every other week, and also before we have company or if it appears dirty in between cleanings.

Kitchen - wipe up with disinfecting wipes after preparing food or spilling something, fully clean whenever it looks like it needs it.

Vaccuum - the roomba does it daily We do a full vaccumm in addition when it looks like it needs it.

Dusting - when I notice the dust.

As you can see, I don't have a "schedule" exactly. We're both working full time and don't have a cleaning lady or anything, so we get things done when we can.

i usually try to keep up with stuff day to day so that i don't spend hours on the weekend cleaning. its also easy for me becasue i work at a school so i'm home by 4 everyday so i have some time to do a little bit everyday.
i try to do everything once a week: one day i'll dust, one day i'll swiffer the floors, one day i''ll do the 2 bathrooms... the kitchen gets wiped down everyday after we cook, but on fridays i usually do a nice scrubbing in there because we eat out on friday and saturday nights.
i'm also anal about everything being in the right place, so i'm constantly straightening stuff up, putting things back where they go, etc...

clean bathroom - every day - a good scrubbing - once every two weeks

vacuum - once a week

dust - once every two weeks

kitchen - every day

Change bedding...once a week

Clean bathroom - general wipe of counters every morning, toilet every time I use it. Deep cleaning every three weeks.

Kitchen - every day I clean the counters, sink and stove. I swiffer and sweep every other day. Sometimes every day. Deep clean every 3 weeks. Fridge gets deep cleaned out every other month.

Vacuum - dustbuster when DS drops something. Real vacuum every other week.

Dust - every 3 weeks or if I notice it sooner.

Laundry is done 1x per week - about 3-4 loads.

I change the sheets and duvet cover once a week.

I vacuum the rugs twice a week but I swiffer vacuum (I love that thing) the hardwoods and bathroom floors every day. Clean them with wood cleaner once a week or every other.

I dust twice a week.

I scrub the bathrooms once a week but I wipe them down with Lysol wipes almost every day.

The kitchen gets cleaned daily.


We are extremely anal people too.

DH does all the cleaning each week - bathrooms, dishes, vacuuming, etc. All I do is mop the tile floors about once every 2 weeks.

The cleaning lady comes ever other week, and I do spot cleanings in between...as well as the lunatic method when ppl are coming over

Change the sheets every two weeks

Clean the bathroom every two weeks with Lysol/Clorox wipes in between

Sweep and Swiffer hardwoods every week

Dust every week or two depending on my schedule

Laundry every week, 3 - 5 loads depending on what has to be done.

Kitchen - every night just about.

I don't have the time to do what seems like everyone else is doing. I wish I got home earlier every day to do a little more, but it's not in the cards right now.

I'll preface this with I am a SAHM and I have a weekly cleaning lady.

Change bedding...once a week (cleaning lady)

Clean bathroom - once a week it is sanitized then at least every other day I wipe down.

Kitchen - every day I clean the stove/countertops/sweep. It gets moped once a week or more if needed

Vacuum - once per week. I only have carpet in my bedroom. (cleaning lady)

Dust - once a week (cleaning lady)

Laundry is done on average - 2x per week usually, sometimes more

"HONEY!!!! HONEY!!!! The bathroom is dirty, and it's not gonna clean itself!"
