just a thought....
this is not meant in any way to offend anyone at all, thats not me! 
but i think people should take a moment before they say things like, "thats a great starter house!"
my house, though i plan on living here forever, is a starter house in the fact that we will be expanding when we start a family.
however, i wouldnt want someone to label it a starter house because it is small and not updated (at the time we purchased it.) many people cannot ever afford to expand or redo and they may be very happy with their "starter" home.
just dont eb quick to assume that it is someones starter house. maybe just say something like, "great home!" or "congrats!"
just something to think about!

Very well said. People tend to be very critical of others homes.  When in fact, anyone that can buy a house on LI in this market, is a great deal.

its been said quite a bit, not necessarily recently, but here and on liw.
and its been said with the best of intentions! just something to consider. im glad people are understanding
