just a little after delivery update....
I figured I would let you all know how my experience is going since I know a lot of us stress about weight, sleep and everything else.
I have been home for a week as of today and I have to say I am loving being a mom. This is coming from someone who for a long time was not sure I even wanted to have kids. Now I can't imagine my life any other way.
My recovery from my c-section has been relatively easy and pain free. I give credit to my amazing Dr (Dr Antoniadis). I have been able to do just about anything I just don't drive until 2 weeks and lift anything heavy.
DS has his cranky times of the day (tends to be from 8-1am) so sleep is generally ok but we had a rough night here and there. DH & I are starting to get ourselves into a routine. I know you can't put a newborn on a schedule but if you and DH and figure out who takes what shift based on work schedules and stuff you will be better off.
And now to weight loss. I am down almost 20lbs. I gained 40 during the PG and was about 15 lbs heavier than I would have liked when I started out but only 20lbs more to get to pre-pregnancy weight and the 20 lost was just not being PG anymore. I am not breast feeding so its not one of those well BF helped me lose all the weight. The hardest thing for me to realize is that while I am losing weight I still have a belly that is slowing going down. I left the hospital with a belly that still looked like I was 8 month PG.
Good Luck to all of the upcoming mommies. It is truly the most amazing experience.

What a great update. So glad to hear that things are coming naturally to you. And lots of congrats for losing so much weight so quickly!  Im very happy to hear that your recovery is not a bad one (like for some women) it def. gives us all hope that its not *too* bad. Congrats again to you and your little man.
