Jumping the gun!!
Hi ladies. I am new to this board and wanted to say HELLO! I was pretty active on liweddings a few years back when I got married, and now being pregnant I figured I could rely on you all for the same great advise.
Getting pregnant was definitely a journey for us. DH and I decided a while back that we were going to wait for at least a heart beat before telling our immediate family and then tell everyone else after the first trimester. Well, I am 5w2d and we have already told our families and a few close friends.
Now I am feeling a little guilty god forbid something goes wrong. Anyone else gone through this?

Re: Jumping the gun!!
Crashing just to say my family and most friends have known about all my pregnancies. With my first pregnancy, I had a loss at 17wks. Since I was so far along, everyone knew I was pregnant (including my students... I was teaching at the time )... At that point, I just became very open about my infertility issues and appreciated the support. I had other losses along the way and always valued the fact that I had so many people surrounding me who I knew I could lean on. I would say tell the people who you would not mind knowing IF gd forbid something were to happen but of course just do your best to expect things to go well, because usually, it does!

Re: Jumping the gun!!
Here is my take on this, tell people that you want to have their support no matter what the outcome . .like you don't want to have to explain to that peppy annoying woman in your aerobics class if something goes wrong but your BF who would take care of you or your mom etc, it's important to have people behind you. Or in the end it's so personal and there is no right or wrong in sharing! And I hope most of all that nothing goes wrong for you!!!
