July 4th party - help me decide...
BBQ - classic/simple - burgers, hotdogs, salads, corn etc..
OR
Order from Fairway - Italian and American heros, salads and green salad.
$$$ is pretty much the same for both. Ordering from Fairway is a lot easier that shopping/prepping/cooking/clean up for BBQ.
Is the 4th of July a traditional BBQ holiday or can I get away w/ the heros?? Do people expect BBQ??
Please help since I can't decide!!!

I think of the 4th as hotdogs and hamburgers. Heros are good but someone might expect something with it.
Do everything ahead of time like salad, sides, cutting up pickles, tomatoes, put on plate with lettuce and onions wrap up. Shuck your corn in the morning and wrap in foil for grill etc. Do everything so the only thing you have left is the grilling.
They had a cool idea for 4th of july drinks, Tyler Florence had a spread in a mag. It was red drinks, virgin or not (red) ice was the white and the rim was edged in blue poprocks for blue and the bang of a firework, I thought it was cute!
Anyhow it is all up to youbut I vote for the dogs!

we have people over every year and do not BBQ
We want to enjoy the day and not be stuck in front of a HOT grill
We usually order heros and salads, but this year I am doing a lot of the cooking the day before and will reheat that day and leave in chafing dishes
