i am so torn about this kid. I dont like his voice and i dont think he really deserved to move on but then he talks about his story and its touching. i dont think he should be getting all this attention just becasue of his story. Lots of people have 'stories" and do not get this much attention.

ITA...when I was watching A.I. last week with DH, DH said to me "I hope they don't just tell these stories for attention"...I told him I doubt it, and, I really hope that's not true.
His voice is not great and honestly don't think he deserved to move on.
Now, that he was on Ellen, I am sure, we will here more..
Im thinking another William Hung..

Yup, I agree. Not that he can't be mentally ill and still be a great singer, but I think that he would have completely cracked under the pressure of being in the finals.
His voice is interesting, and I kind of liked him, but I didn't think he had what it took to be successful.
