Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
Very torn on which to purchase its between these two and I'm having a difficult time deciding obviously the price of joovy is unbeatable but I have been eyeing the city mini for a while now waiting for a sale with no such luck So I'm switching gears and leaning more towards the joovy! Any insight would be great pros and cons! TIA

I don't know anything about the Joovy but we have the City Mini double and absolutely love it! So easy to use and so many great features. Pricey, but worth it IMO.

Re: Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
We have the Joovy and it's awesome. Just about as narrow at the City Mini and steers really well. HUGE baskets underneath - the City Mini doesn't have that. It's tall enough for my 6'2" DH to push and comfortable for me at 5'4". Very easy to fold and not too heavy. My kids don't love sitting in strollers, but they love this one - my DD has even asked to sleep in it
The only drawback for me is that if you take super long strides (which only happens to me if I am walking fast) you will kick the brake bar at the bottom. But since I know it's there, its easy to avoid now.

I have a single version of the Joovy & love it! I want the double, but can't seem to find it in stock (is it in NY, cause I will be up in a few weeks).
I can't imagine spending a lot on a stroller that doesnt have a useable basket.

I just bought the City Mini off of Amazon, it wasn't as pricey as in the stores. It was totally worth every penny. I'm in love. It's easy to push and fits in my truck of a 4-door sedan perfect. You don't have to take it apart. The sun canopy is priceless. It's one the best purchases.

I have the City Mini and love it. I don't understand the small basket comments cause I have never been without room.
I have plenty of room for everything I need and more

So you can get into the basket (while the kids are in it)? I'm just going off reviews & when I glance at them onnthe street. It looks like you can't get to them.

Re: Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
We have the double city mini. It is fine but there is nothing special about it.
Our kids are 2 yrs apart and we probably use the double stroller once every 1-2 weeks. I don't think it would have mattered which double we had. Just need something to strap the kids in.
If you like the city mini, you can get another side by side for cheaper.

Re: Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
I was torn between these two and went with the Joovy. Very happy with my choice.
I tested both side by side at buy buy baby and the Joovy won me over. It folds slightly flatter then the city mini double. Width was exactly the same. The seats in the joovy seemed much more roomy though.
I put both kids in it and they both looked/seemed more comfortable in the joovy and in the end that was my deciding factor.

That was also our deciding factor. My DS is a big boy and looked more comfortable in the Joovy. We've been happy with the stroller but we only use it at amusement parks/zoo.

In the double it is difficult to access the basket.

Yes you can absolutely get to it. I don't see how people would have issues with it. You get to the basket from the side so I've never had an issue.

Re: Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
Hate my double city mini. overpriced cheaply made. no basket. $$$, you have to buy all accessories, doesn't lock to close, no padding, boys are never comfy in it. doesn't lay flat nor straight up so they are forever in this weird slouched position. straps are a PIA and never sit right....i can go on.

Joovy scooter vs city mini double 2011
We just tested out both at buy buy baby and I prefer the way the city mini handles with the twins in it. I think this is the one we are going to go for. IMO it handled much better than the Joovy. The joovy did appear to have a little more room for the twins but the citi mini didn't seem too bad.
