The new issue of Us Weekly has shocking, exclusive pictures of the Jon & Kate Plus 8 dad leaving a club at 2 a.m. -- with a mystery woman and without his wedding band.

Jon Gosselin arrived at the club at 11:20 p.m. and by 2 a.m. "could barely walk" as he exited the less-public back entrance of Legends Lounge -- near the family's $1.3-million home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania -- on April 18, a fellow partier tells Us Weekly.

The dad of 8 -- kids are twins Madelyn and Cara, 8, and 5-year-old sextuplets, Aaden, Joel, Collin, Hannah, Leah and Alexis -- was overheard yelling, "Hey, babe! Babe! Give me my jacket!" before climbing into his Nissan Nismo. (She complied.) As cameras began snapping, he panicked, urging his female friend to "get in the car!" before speeding off hastily -- without even turning on the headlights.

Where was his wife Kate -- known for her insults and who famously once berated him for breathing on the show?

Nearly 2,000 miles away, promoting her book Eight Little Faces in Bellevue, Washington.

While TLC had no comment on the story or the couple's marital status, Jon sent an emailed statement to Us.

"I went to Legends to speak to the owner. A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car," he says. "Yes, I have female friends -- but that is all she is. I'm not going to end my friendships just because I'm on TV."

In February, the 32-year-old was spotted flirting with -- and even attempting to kiss -- coeds at Juniata College, multiple students confirm to Us Weekly. (He denied any wrongdoing.) He told one coed "he was getting divorced." In the May Ladies Home Journal, he says, "I always thought I would be, like, 54 years old and marry a 19-year-old or something."

i am not a big fan of Kate, but i have a hard time thinkng this is true. I mean they do realize they have camera following them everywhere. I think its gotta be tough on them as a family and a couple trying to raise 8 kids and do the tv to make money.

Your wife is out of town and it's 2AM... shouldn't you be at home with your kids?

I hope this isn't true. Kate is difficult but, I hope that they can work out thir differences. I understand Jon not wanting to be in the public eye anymore. Kate just wants the $$$. Hopefully thay can come to an agreement they will both be happy with.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 dad Jon Gosselin is admitting he "showed poor judgment" by leaving a bar at 2 a.m. with a mystery woman and without his wedding band -- while his wife Kate was across the country promoting a book.

"Like most people, I have male and female friends, and I'm not going to end my friendships just because I'm on TV," the dad of 8 tells Extra. "However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part.



"What makes me sick is that my careless behavior has put my family in this uncomfortable position," he continues. "My family is the most important thing in my life and it kills me that these allegations have hurt them."

Am the only one who feels this is a PUBLICITY STUNT. They are both after the money. Otherwise they would not be on a reality show. They do a book to stay constantly in the public eye. How convenient to CREATE a scandal for them to be still in the public eye, promote the book ,etc...

I am so not buying it!

He left his kids at home? Really??? Did he tell a babysitter he would not be home until 2am and his wife would not find out about it?

Kate has turned having 8 kids into a business...and although they probably really needed the money when they started, she has just run away with this and at the expense of her marriage.

Do I think that he was right? No.

But that last show this season, she clearly didn't give a damn what he thought.

Who knows but I have to say I watched the episode where they were "greening" their new home and I hated her even more.
She was so disrespectful to the guy who was helping them - she was mocking him and it was really uncalled for.

We'll see what happens.
It doesn't make it right but she it too much.

I hate that this is public info, they dragged their kids into this and now they too will be part of a paparazzi frenzy ....so disgusting.
