Joining this board!!!
Got my BFP yesterday and took another test this morning to be sure...it came out positive also!!!
I'm so excited and nervous! I want to tell everyone.
How long did you wait to tell your family? How did you do it? I want my parents and DH's parents to find out at the same time but they don't live close to each other. Any ideas?
Looking forward to spending the next 9 months here!

Congrats!!!! I told my sister the day I found out (4-5 weeks). We told my family the next day (immediate family) and DH's family when we had a good sono (8 weeks). We only waited so long to tell DH's family because we had a miscarriage scare a week after we told my parents. Wanted to wait for a good sono to proceed!

Congrats!
We told my mom a week after my BFP. The only other person I "had" to tell was one of my bosses since it would effect scheduling.
We had our first doc appt. today and saw the heartbeat so now that all is good so far we'll tell his immediate fan this weekend.

We told our immediate families right away and then waited a little longer to tell everyone else.

Congrats!!!! During breakfast I gave my mom her mail. I stuck the u/s pic in between the mail so she could stumble upon it. She found it and was in complete shock and started crying.

We will be telling some family (very cautiously) at 14wks and the rest at 18wks after a pre-anatomy scan.
They all still think we are doing surrogacy. I haven't decided for sure how I'm going to announce it. I'd like to get it on video, but I told some friends recently and the response was VERRRRRY underwhelming. I like to think that family will be different but you just never know.... (I should add that I've had multiple pregnancy losses so people are all like .. ohhhh of course she's pregnant ......... again.   )

CONGRATS!!!!
I told my older sister before I even told DH. She's an OB and I didn't know what to do and I had SO many questions.
We told my parents the day after we got the BFP (my mom works for my primary and my dad is a business rep in my union so I needed both of them for information). I told them to come up to the apt for their anniversary gifts. I gave them both tshirts and my dad was SO excited (my mom said she figured it out). We told DH's parents during Sandy because they were staying with us and I was REALLY sick. We had them open a bottle of wine that had a pregnancy poem on it that I got from my bridal shower (it was the last bottle to be opened). Told my younger sister around 6w when we got back from Mexico and pretended her tshirt was a gift. Told SIL at 7w with presents for my niece and marked them from "little baby cousin". Friends we told after our first prenatal visit which was at 8w in different ways using the sonogram.

we told our parents once we had been to the Dr.
I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and we've only come out to a small number of friends privately and asked them to keep it quiet.
once I'm into the second trimester we'll share the news publicly.
but how you choose to tell and when is something you can decide as to what right. for our parents we brought pink and blue balloons and wrapped up baby clothes of their favorite sports team for them to open . do something fun!

We told all of our parents at 7 weeks, then BIL/SIL a few weeks after that. Rest of the family & siblings we told at 12 weeks.

I think we're going to wait to wait until the 8 week appointment to tell our parents and immediate family and then 12 weeks for everyone else.
