As if torturing animals wasn't bad enough it seems that finally the media is catching on to them. I don't think enough people realize how there products can negatively effect your health.
There are so many other great alternatives.

Didn't click on the link. Is this about the woman who got ovarian cancer from using their baby powder and shower to shower powder for decades?

My OB/GYN told me not to use talc powder 18 years ago. Hasn't been known to cause cancer for some time?

Yes. For years now. I have been avoiding buying any kind of powder with talc in it for years due to this connection

I don't think they even have talc in their powder anymore. Haven't in years. Most don't. I used corn starch on AJ when I had to.

They definitely do. I have no idea why people would buy it though to be honest!

I never used either on my kids and I don't see any reason to use it on myself.

I don't use it. Never did.
But I didn't know anything about this till recently. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Which is why people still buy it. My question is. Why are companies still using it?

Re: Johnson & Johnson
I agree. If there is such a causal link to ovarian cancer- that has been proven by science- it should be pulled from the market. Cornstarch is a safer alternative, just use that in powder. I don't get it

Like I posted earlier, I never used it on either myself or my kids because I thought it caused cancer. Interesting, though, is I thought that it was caused by inhaling it but, in this case, did it enter through her lady parts?

The link to ovarian cancer is cause by using it on the vaginal area yes. From the article....
. Many apply it to their private parts, and talc particles travel to the ovaries through the cervix and line the uterus and fallopian tubes, resulting in toxic effects on the ovaries.

The article is about a different woman not the one who won $72 million dollar settlement.
From the article I’m so relieved that the issue is finally getting the attention it deserves. In 2013, I, too, sued Johnson & Johnson, and a federal jury found that its body powder products were a factor in my condition. Although I was surprised that the jury awarded me zero damages — South Dakota is a very conservative state, and there had to be a unanimous verdict on whether any compensation should be paid — it was never about the money. Earlier I had turned down a $1.3 million out-of-court settlement because I didn’t want to sign a confidentiality clause.

Talc can cause issues if inhaled. Repeatedly inhaled. I'm not 100% sold on it being directly linked to ovarian cancer when used on your nether regions.
I'm more inclined to think that ovarian cancer may be more prevalent in women who use talc because of the demographics of the women using talc- older, post-menopausal women, who are right smack in the age group in which ovarian cancer is most common.
