I got it done at New Mode in Bethpage. Kim did it. I paid $250 plus tip. I didn't LOVE it until I got it trimmed a week and a half after I had it done because I thought my ends looked dead (my hairdresser explained they were "chemical ends") and my layers were cut to flatter my curly hair so they totally needed to be adjusted.

It looks GREAT! And I love your haircut - the layered cut looks great on you.
Are the "after" pictures wash and go? Or did you blow dry it?
I am SERIOUSLY considering getting this done. I like having the option to curl my hair, but unfortunately it looks kinda crappy when it's curled these days!

I am SERIOUSLY considering getting this done. I like having the option to curl my hair, but unfortunately it looks kinda crappy when it's curled these days!

The pictures were right after my haircut, so it was blown out, but today was wash and go and it looks the same except my sides don't look as angled in towards my face, they are more staight down.
I also would have liked the option to wear it curly sometimes, but like you said, my hair just doesn't look good curly! It's curly in parts, wavy in other parts, straight on the top, frizzy most places... Ugh!
I will post a wash and go pic when I can... keep a look out for it!

That is exactly how my hair is now!!! Wavy, curly, frizzy, straight... and overall looks crappy, lol. I used to have really nice curls, but I think that years of dying my hair messed with my curls.
I'm really nervous about it, but I am realllllly thinking about it! Can't wait to see the wash and go pics!

I'm glad I can help! The ladies on here were great posting pics and giving advice when I was contemplating JHS!
Your layers look similiar to mine. You may notice your hair doesn't look as smooth as you'd like in the areas where the layers are... that's the only thing I don't like. On the other hand, my hairdresser likes the layers because they add movement, so it's really just a matter of personal preference!
