Jewish Funerals
I know it sounds silly, but I've never been to a Jewish funeral service before.
I'm wearing a black pin-stripe suit - that's okay right?
Anything I should know about the service? I usually bring a mass card for Catholic funeral services, but not sure what to do for a Jewish one....anything to bring?

the pants suit is fine. never bring anything to the funeral. you could mail the card to the house of the person grieving. don't send flowers. u would send food basket or deli platter

Pinstripe suit is fine, but don't bring anything to the funeral. If you want to give them something, visit while they are sitting Shiva or send something to the house. A nice kosher platter is good.

Definitely do no tbring anything to the actual service, but I always send some kind of food during the week after. Ben's kosher deli has a nice spread that you can have sent.

Re: Jewish Funerals
That sounds fine to wear. I would not bring a mass card. People usually don't bring anything. If DH is going, it is respectful for him to wear a yamulka (sp?) like the rest of the men, even if he isn't Jewish.
