JetBlue!!!
SIL's flight down here to DC was scheduled for 7:45... and she STILL hasn't left yet. I feel so bad for her! We're happy it hasn't been cancelled - but oy vey! Apparently they have no crew! They have a plane, and they have a gate, but they don't have a crew to fly them. This is INSANE.
Ugh. This is why I don't fly.

Jet Blue is based in Queens. Most of their crew stays in Forest Hills from what I know. I know the weather is lousy, but they should be able to get there. Sorry for you, and especially for you SIL!!!!

Their "crew rest" probably got messed up from all the delays.
If that is the reason it sucks but it is in her best interest to not have a tired pilot. Everything happens for a reason, she'll get there and you'll have a great time! I have to travel alot with my son and my time is very limited to see our families so I understand being upset but I would much rather be delayed and arrive alive then have a fatigued crew.

My in-laws were supposed to fly in yesterday from Boston and their flight got cancelled. Jet Blue said they did not have enough staff.
They just bagged their trip and will come another weekend.

I was watching the news this morning and it said Jetblue had so many cancelled flights and crew issues they are so behind on getting things to leave on time. They said it's all because of the storms in NY.
I am glad my parents came down 2 weeks ago
I am sure our SIL will get there and you'll have a good time

My parent's are due to leave San Juan tonight at 8:30 pm. I am wondering if I should tell them to book a hotel just in case they don't get out?
Are there still issues today w/ crew members?

My parents were suppose to go to Florida on Jet Blue on Thursday. They got to the airport at 8am for their 10:20am flight. It was insane!!! Jet Blue canceled all the flights except theirs so they couldn't try to get on another airline because JetBlue wouldnt release their luggage. Long story short they canceled their flight at 11 PM. At 2am they left the airport - no luggage. The luggage was a mess, hundreds of bags thrown all over the place. They still haven't gotten their bags. They are going to go back today to try again.
JetBlue really screwed up.

JB were on CNN the other night. they made a plane load of people wait 11 HOURS on the plane and wouldn't let them off

My sister was supposed to leave to Florida on Thursday and they cancelled her flight because they had "no crew" - how could they have no crew 2-3 days later? 
The best part is, jet blue tried to charge her $500 to cancel her RETURN tickets (from Florida to New York).

My mother in law is sitting at DIA trying to get back to NY. We dropped her off because her flight was supposed to only be delayed an hour, now it's another hour. I hope it leaves and she's not stuck there waiting for no reason.

SIL got in at 315 last night. She was fine, but was more upset that they weren't telling them anything, and didn't even offer them a bag of peanuts or water.
They also didn't get any of the luggage to DC... it didn't get on the plane, they 'may' get it to DC by Sunday. She only had a carry on - but how horrible is that for everyone else!
All flights are cancelled to JFK from Dullas tonight and tomorrow... so we may be driving her halfway to NY on Monday if they can't get their act together.
Oy.

I think Jet Blue really screwed themselves! But this happens all the time to people and nothing has ever been said. I really applaud those passengers for trying to pass legislation that people need to be let out after 3 hours!
