jet tubs
anyone have one of the jet tubs in their bathroom? when we had our home inspection the engineer said that those kinds of tubs have been linked to leigionnaires disease. is there a way without removing the tub that you can plug up the jets? i do keep them clean, but i would never put a baby in that tub even though it's very clean.

Really? Wow I never heard that... does it make a difference if it's a jacuzzi tub or an air tub?

Never heard of that either.
We love our tub. I don't and won't put the babies in it. The jet tub is in our MB bath, they have their own full bath.

I've heard that with jacuzzi tubs........b/c the water sits in the holes and doesnt drain all the way which I never knew.
So b/c of that, we got an Air tub instead.
ETA: Im sure there has to be something that you can buy to plug the holes and use it strictly as a "bathtub".

If I'm not mistaken, a jacuzzi tub actually moves the water around and shoots water out, whereas an air tub just blows air so there is no plumbing. I'm assuming that because of this air tubs are safer. They are also less expensive - another reason why we are thinking of getting one instead of a jacuzzi or whirlpool tub.
