Jessica Simpson Steps Out Amidst Weight Controversy
Jessica Simpson stepped out in Virginia Wednesday night as buzz continues to build over her curvier new figure.
Bundled up in a gray jacket, dark sunglasses and a hat, the usually bubbly 28-year-old singer -- who is set to perform with Rascal Flatts today at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville -- looked solemn.
She smiled a bit when photographers told her she was stunning and beautiful.
Her appearance comes a day after Ashlee Simpson-Wentz attacked critics for making such a fuss over her sister's new fuller figure.
"I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight," Ashlee wrote on her Celebrity MySpace page. "A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News."

See- here she looks the same as always.
I think those other pics were just that- bad pics.
She had on HORRIBLE pants in those so called "fat pics"...those pants would not flatter a super model IMO.

This whole thing is so stupid. My weight rarely fluctuates but there are pics of me that make me look bigger than others. It's lighting, the angle, bad outfit choice, whatever.....I think this is so silly and the media needs to lay off.

I am very skinny . But I have few pics where I look much bigger than I really am , especially my face. Just the way you turn your head or the way you stand can make you look 10lb bigger than you are(in pics).
It's one thing if they said oh J S gained some weight, blah,blah,blah , but to say that she is fat is just crazy.
Also , I just can't believe that size 3-4 is considered fat. Such a shame. What a hell is wrong with us that we judge people by their size.

I completely agree with this. Those pants were NOT flattering and were HORRENDOUS, and I really believe that if she was wearing something different on that day, she would not be "in the news" about her weight nearly so much.
Poor outfit choice all around. And I DEFINITELY don't think she is fat at all.

I don't think she is fat at all. Those pants were just horrible. The picture angle was bad too - looking straight up does not flatter anyone.

5 lbs on someone 5'2/5'3 looks like 20

i was really upset about those pics and the comments posted with it (not on here, another site)
even my DH was saying how bad she looked
she and i are probably about the same build, which made me feel like crap 
of course he tried to backtrack and say that i looked great, and she didn't just have a baby, but still...
