Just thought I would share this post that a mom posted to my sleep dilemma on another board belong too
It's perfectly normal for babies to sleep great at the beginning and then, yep, at about four months, they wake up to their world and begin eating less during the day (too busy!) and more at night. Sounds like what's going on is totally normal.
At 6.5 months, Annabelle is waking 2-3 times each night to eat and is now (brace yourself) wanting to eat every HOUR during the day when awake because of beginning to crawl, teething and a big growth spurt. Sometimes she stays awake during the night for a couple hours. We just lay her between us, turn on a dim light and go back to sleep. Eventually, she goes back to sleep peacefully. She "used to be" able to sleep through the night (6-9 hours typically) from six weeks to about five months.
