JC Penny v. Sears v. other?

My friend lives in Yaphank. She asked me, but since I have not used any of them for pictures, I had no recommendation. Told her I'd ask here!

Ive never used any either but i know a bunch of ppl that use sears in the sunvet mall off of sunrise..

I liked JC Penny a lot better than sears. and they were cheaper. But i think it also depends on the photographer.

I’ve used Target twice previously and will again three times before the year is over. I’ve been to the one in Levittown. The price is pretty good per picture. I’ve created some nice collages with the pics I have purchased. It’s very cut and dry but I can’t afford to spend $150 plus on a photo shoot. Especially when I know many of the photos I won’t even display.

I used JC Penny's in Roosevelt field twice in the past year, and both times had a great experience. They are friendly with me, great with DS and DD, patient and the pics have been back in a week both times. I am planning on using them again for Christmas pictures.

Eta: they have some good coupons too. I made my appointments online, and both times got called in within 20 minutes after my time. Better then some Dr offices I've been to !! I try to make the appointments for earlier in the day though, DS is more cooperative then !

out east by yaphank there arent many options. targets out there dont have photo studios and there is no jcpenney.

sears at sunvet is good...but you might want to tell her to go during a weekday when its older people there. i find that evenings and weekends you get older kids working there and they dont take it as serious.

I am pretty sure that JC Penny and Target have pretty much the same pricing and the same backgrounds. If you look at their background examples on their website I have noticed that they are the same or are from the same companies and their coupons are very similar also.

I have been to both Target and Sears and I think Sears is a higher quality photo session. I felt like they had a lot more backgrounds to chose from. This is Levittown Target vs. Hicksville Sears. With Sears they had all of the many many backgrounds from previous years to pick from as well as the new ones. Target only had the new ones the few times that we went there.

Sears, however was much more money. I think we spent over $200 with Sears on Christmas cards and portraits and spent about $50 at Target. But...Sears was a better quality if you ask me.

Now we just take casual photos with my sister who is an amateur photographer at a pretty location each year....and I am so in love with the pictures she takes of us!

I prefer Sears or Picture People out of the chains. I do NOT recommend the Sears in the Sun Vet mall. They did an awful job and the background was actually showing in some of our pics.

Sears has a coupon in one of the magazines and for $10 you get a disk with one image w/ copyright release (good for cards or reprints), 1 10x13, 1 5x7 and 4 wallets. Plus 20% off an additional portrait purchase.
