Re: January Moms

Had a scare this weekend and a wonderful shower, but otherwise we're both doing just fine - exhausted, not sleeping very well, and really looking forward to January, but that's pretty normal at this point :) just hoping DD cooperates long enough so that we can finish her nursery!

Re: January Moms

Hanging in there - having all kinds of new fun things happening and still have a little less than 10 weeks to go - swelling is getting bad, having such bad pains "down there" and now I'm fighting a fever - which I think came from my swine flu shot on ThursdayChat Icon Barely sleeping, peeing all the time!

Re: January Moms

I'm doing okay. I cant wait for January too. This is just driving me crazy at the end! I dont feel too horrible, just regular backaches and stuff. I cant sleep at night for sh!t but thank god I can sleep late during the day bc I'm not working right now.

I have my ob appt tomorrow night hopefully Chat Icon my dr will set up some type of schedule for my c-section. I have to be monitored every week now until the end and see the high risk dr again to make sure my bloodclotting stays ok and I dont get any contractions. Thank god my nursery is finished I really feel like I need more clothes but we'll see. Other than that everything is pretty normal and going well. Hope everyone is feeling okay! Chat Icon

Re: January Moms

Uncomfortable and starting to get LOTS of pressure. The baby is in position already and I am going to schedule my c/s on Tuesday even though Im still trying for a VBAC. If I dont go into labor by my due date then I will have another c/s.

Re: January Moms

Hey ladies! I'm in carb mourning right now since I just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes so January cannot come soon enough. I have to go see the nutritionist this week (right before Thanksgiving of course!) and pick up my glucometer to start monitoring my sugars. So much for having a low risk pregnancy only seals the deal that I'm done having babies after this!

Re: January Moms

Doing great, only 8 weeks to go! Baby moves all the time and I just can't ever get over it- I love it!! My only real issues lately are back pain and heartburn, but neither are out of control. Baby and I are both healthy and in good shape, so I've got nothing to complain about!! I am enjoying every minute of pregnancy, but at the same time, I can't wait to meet our little one!! Still have lots to do getting the nursery ready, etc. so hoping to find time for that soon! Hope all my fellow January moms-to-be are feeling great!!

Re: January Moms

Doing well overall.
Made the mistake of eating chinese food on Thursday night for dinner & then immidiately afterwards my ankles & feet swelled up like balloons..my feet actually had their own rolls! Today the swelling is down & they are finally back to normal thank God.
My left hip hurts, I can't breathe at night b/c baby is crushing me, and my heartburn is now a daily part of my life.
We are going to start clearing out the room that will be the nursery Thanksgiving weekend this way we will be ready to bring home all of the gifts from my "surprise shower" on 12/12.
We still do not have a name chosen for Chat Icon so freaking out a little about that.

I am doing well for the most part..Like most of you "Sleep" has gone out the window..I think the babies are getting us used to "not sleeping" for when they arrive..that's ok it is all worth it..just working on the nursery and trying to finish that up..I am getting some back pain so i am just taking it easy..I wish everybody a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON..Then we will all be MOMMIES!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: January Moms

Like all the other ladies, I am not sleeping well, have horrible heartburn and back pain but otherwise doing well.

Just developed a weird food aversion to meat. Even the thought makes me nauseous, chicken, beef anything...so im not looking forward to thanksgiving.

All in all I cant complain. Ive had a pretty easy pregnancy. I just have a feeling these last few weeks are not going to be easy...just keep telling myself its almost over.

Have a great holiday everyone!!!!

Re: January Moms

I'm doing ok. Getting really excited. I keep getting sick because DD1 kept getting sick from daycare, and I catch whatever she has. On my ped's advice, we took her out of daycare because it was too risky for me to keep getting exposed to all those germs at this point.

Lots of back problems, heartburn and feeling really big and uncomfortable. But even with all that, I'm excited and doing well.

Oh--in my first pregnancy, I could not sleep at all. I dont think I ever slept more than 2-3 hours per night at this point until the end. This pregnancy, I have none of that, so I actually am sleeping really well.

Re: January Moms

I'll be 33 wks this week an oing pretty good overall. Still doing everythig but, feeling really tired and achy legs by the end of the day. My belly is starting to look much bigger and get in the way of things and I'm starting to feel like nothing looks right anymore clothing wise...Other than that though no complaints as me and the baby are healthy and happy Chat Icon i'm still strangely ravenously hungry all the time which I don't remember being with DC #1 - however, still on the same track weight gain wise shockingly.

Can't wait until January comes - I want this baby here! We are all dying to have this baby with us!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!!!

I feel your pain - I've actually stopped taking the stairs as much as possible. I rerouted my subway route a bit so that I can take escalators and avoid all the big staircases. Can't avoid the ones that are one-flight but seriously, I want to die at the top of those so thank god for escalators and elevators! Chat Icon
