January- February- Any disney promotions

I know last year there was free dining I believe....when does this typically come out? I was just doing some preliminary pricing but I am curious if there will be any good deals coming out

For the last years, the Free Dining and room only deals for that time came out in August the year before.

My advice is to get booked ASAP so you know what room, tickets, etc you want and then you or your TA can switch you over to the Free Dining when it comes out. It's easier to get the quotes and settle on your package components and have the deposit in now, than to try to do all of that when the offer comes out.

For example, when Fall Free Dining just came out last week, some resorts and weeks were sold out within 2 hours. By the time you decided you wanted something, it could have been gone. Whereas for people who were already booked, their agents were on the phone at 7am changing everyone over.

I can also just say first hand that when an offer has just come out, agents won't have the bandwidth to give you several different quotes and go back and forth if you need to. Better to settle it up front. Even if you decide to book on your own, you could be on hold for hours before getting a cast member on the phone on a promotion day.

This link is pretty accurate in terms of the release dates of past promotions but note that it does not tell you any detail about availability at certain resorts and what the blackout days were, if any.

I am using a travel agent, I never have before but it makes it so much easier.

I am all booked and can start making dinner reservations. My agent keeps an eye on sales and promotions and then adjusts my package for me!

I've also been asking her a billion questions and she is great with answering them quickly.
