I have stayed at Sandals Whitehouse. It was gorgeous. The only drawback is the 2 hour bus ride. If the bus ride doesn't bother you then definitely go fo rhte Whitehouse. It was awesome! DH and I stayed at Royal carribean last february and loved it as well. It is in Montego Bay but the planes and airport were not a big deal. it didn't bother me at all and after a day of traveling a 10 minute drive to the resort is awesome. We are going back to Jamaica this February and staying at a Ssandals but don't know which one yet. I am torn because I don't want to do to long bus ride. We are contemplating Royal Carribean again or possibly Dunn's River! Good luck with the decision!

I've been to Ocho Rios & Negril. they're both fantastic, but very different!
Negril is low key and quiet. Ocho Rios has a lot of night clubs and many more large resorts - so a lot more people per sq mile.

My vote is for Negril. They definitely have the most beautiful beaches. Montego Bay is noisy, and since it's a bay, the water isn't as nice. Ocho is more party-oriented.
For what it's worth, I prefer the Couples resorts in Jamaica to Sandals. You may want to compare!

We went to Negril for our HM and loved it. The beach is beautiful. We ended up taking a day trip to Ocho Rios to go to Dunn's river so we pretty much got the best of both worlds. Distance wise- both Negril and OR are about 1 1/2 hours from the airport.

I loved Sandals Dunns River its in Ocho Rios. It is about a 2 hour ride from the airport. I was not a fan of Ocho Rios Sandals. I thought it was to big and no beach. I have heard Whitehouse is beautiful. I spoke to a few Sandals specialists and they all suggested Royal Caribbean. Its close to the airport but not loud. Good Luck I loved Sandals!

We stayed in Ocho Rios for our HM. It was beuatiful but freaking HOT!!! Hot in the shade, hot in the rain, hot at night. We also went in August, so it may have been hotter than usual. But still hot. Sandlas was beautiful.
