IVF with Dr. Zapantis

So our final IUI was negative and we'll be starting an IVF cycle.

Can someone walk me through the steps? I have a feeling I'll be on BCPs so that it can be scheduled correctly, but he wants me to come in on CD1? Does that even make sense?

I'm so confused.

Not everyone goes on BCPS. I am starting my IVF cycle when AF shows up (hopefully Thursday and Friday) and they will begin monitoring/stimming me on CD 2.

I was not on any BCPbefore my IVF cycle. They were going to put me on it last month to shrink cysts but decided to wait out that cycle and see if they shrink naturally. I started CD4 today and waiting for the call to start my injections-femara tonight. I do have a cyst but not as big as last month and other 2 disappeared. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I love Dr. Z & highly recommend him. You will do birth control for about 2 weeks. They need to do this so it puts your cycle to sleep so to speak They want to control when you ovulate so they have to monitor you thru the whole thing. This is why you start day 1. Good Luck
