IVF Meds with Empire NYSHIP - Mail Order Only?
My RE office told me this morning that this is something new? that I am no longer able to go through Kruepners that it had to be through mail order. Anyone have any information about this before I call my RE back at 9 a.m.?

I don't have that but my plan is mail order. If I needed something asap, they would just have to approve it to go through a local pharmacy like Kraupners with an exception.
Either way I think you should be fine.

I have Empire BCBS (not NYSHIP) and had to get my Ovidrel through their mail order pharmacy - Freedom Fertility. Not IVF meds, but I'm assuming most fertility related meds I'll need to get through them. If you have to use Freedom Fertility, they were VERY easy to work with and the meds shipped overnight.

I don't have that insurance, but my insurance required me to only use mail order: Freedom Fertility Pharmacy.
They were awesome to work with, I never had any issues with them.

I have Empire (NYSHIP) too and I just got all my meds from Kraupners. I got a letter a while back saying that Kraupners was no longer participating, but when I asked my doc about it they said no we can still use them.
All my meds were covered, I just had to pay a copay.

Yes, me too! You have to call/mail in through Accreedo now. The nurse at my RE did it for me today and then Accreedo called me to confirm information and my shot is being ups'd overnight. Very easy. Make sure you go through Accreedo or it will be out of pocket for you for the meds.
Check your mail too b/c I got letters from Accreedo for each of the fertility meds I am on and they followed up with two phonecalls.

I feel like I got the same letter about not being able to use Kraupners, but then I got a second later saying that it would it would still be ok to use Kraupners. I would call Empire to confirm.

Well I guess it is now ok to use Kruepners. I got the call from them that it went through and all i had was my co-pay. Dont get me started on insurance companies!

I have Oxford Freedom Plan...as of June 1st I have to use Freedom pharmacy. Until then I can gets meds as usual from local pharmacies. Hope they are as good as Rockville Center and Kraupner's has been for me!
