IVF/ER
For those of you who had this done, how did you feel after the ER? Were you able to have a normal day, or did you stay off of your feet?
Just trying to figure out my limits- thanks in advance!

Re: IVF/ER
I was a little crampy and groggy from the twilight sleep. After all my ERs I came home and took a nap. My RE told DH that I was on "princess duty" for the rest of the day.

Re: IVF/ER
Yep, I had the same RE as Domino, but they called it "Princess Protocol". DH was told to treat me like a princess.
I only had one ER, where they aspirated 27 follies. I was sore afterwards and also slept that afternoon. My ER was on a Sunday and I took that Monday off from work because I was sore. I could have pushed myself, but decided not to.
It honestly wasn't as big of a deal as I feared it would be. You'll do great! Good luck!

Re: IVF/ER
Hey there...I was crampy immediately following and just rested for the remainder of the day. I took a few days off after the transfer so I could take it easy. Lots of luck :)

Re: IVF/ER
I think it depends on how many follies/eggs you had.
I've only had 4 max. After ER, and my apple juice, DH and I headed downtown to a little place on Park for brunch. Then home, where I took it easy for the rest of the day. But I didn't have any pain or cramping.

I agree with this. I only had 9 eggs retrieved (because I am old -lol) and after resting in the office, DH and I went and had lunch, picked up my son from my friends house and went home. I was a little tired but nothing horrible and no cramps or pains at all. I asked Dr. B if I should arrange child care for the next day but he told me I wouldn't need to and he was right. I felt fine the next day like nothing had been done. Hope you have a great experience too!
