I've been thinking
So I went to NS and got rejected for high fsh.
Went to Cornell and had a completely normal FSH. Yay wheatgrass and acupuncture.
If I go to Cornell, it seems that my out of pocket will be something like $4k for one cycle..slightly more for 2. No doubt my 41 year old eggs are going to need more than one try.
I was thinking that if I go to another in network clinic that will take me with a fluctuating fhs albeit once high and once totally normal, my out of pocket will be substantially less.
Do you think it's worth trying LIIVF or another highly recommended in network clinic for a try? My out of pocket in network could be around $1k for one try.
I know Cornell is one of the best clinics on the planet and they see 41 year old women all the time even older and have a pretty good track record.
Some other clinics may not have my demographic and may not be able to really help me.
I just think that if it can happen in network, I will have more tries. I'm not 100000% convinced that another in network clinic won't have any success.
I guess it's quality vs quantity. My cousin was 41 when she conceived after 3 IVF cycles. She actually had 4 but one got canceled. All at Cornell.
I know everyone is different, but I could use some opinions about this.
DH is really freaked about the $$, so am I but I can't wait forever with this.
Maybe I should just make an appt with another doc and bring my blood work and records and see what happens.

Re: I've been thinking
A consultation couldn't hurt. At least it will put your mind at ease as to the would have, could have, should have.
Although, I have to say, if I had the finances and the hike to the city was easier for me, I would go to Cornell since they are one of the best in the country.

Re: I've been thinking
we "could" get the money to do two cycles, but after that probably not.
the city is good and bad. I live in LI and work in the city but nowhere near their offices.
I worry that I will blow my load on one maybe two cycles at Cornell and then have nothing left.
I guess either way, if I need more than two cycles, I will be paying..
