I've been a scardy cat
RE prescribed Metformin last week but I have been too afraid to take it. I told him this morning and he "urged" me to start it. Wish me luck...just took one

GL!!!! When I started them I took them RIGHT before I went to bed. It could upset your tummy and make you run to the bathroom--- I found it easier if I went to bed first to sleep thru it (or try)

Good luck.
I started with 500 mg a day and now up too 1000mg. First few days was the worst. I took the advice of all the ladies on here and altered my diet and I take my pill in the middle of my meals. Seems to work better on my stomach that way.

Good luck..i started on 750 mg and i also took mine in the middle of a meal. The first week i was a bit sick but than after that I felt much better. Like others mentioned it helps to watch what you eat while on it too. I have lost @8 lbs since being on it..the only change was the meds, I was already working out etc. Just think about how you are helping your body regulate...
