Iv pain
Just a vent...
In the hospital for the second time with preterm contractions and the nurse put the iv in, which I am terrified of by the way, and blood was everywhere. Housekeeping had to come in and my husband was horrified. Then when she took it out she just ripped all the tape off with the needle. I saw stars! Needless to say I do not want that nurse when I go into labor. I am still Shrieking in pain when I look at my arm.
Ok vent over.

Which hospital! I swear I have never had a great IV experience! It hurt worse than the steroid shots I got for the babies lungs, and possibly worse than the epidural I had with DD. They need to teach their nurses how to do it better. I went in for the same thing a few weeks ago and the woman pricked herself with my needle after and then they need to get my consent for an HIV test and some other test, after she totally tore up my hand!
When I had DD my hand was so badly bruised from the IV and they ended up putting it in a different spot in the end. Ugh!
So sorry!

I was at good Sam. I swear I couldn't move my arm with the iv in. I told them when it comes time to give birth that I can't have the iv like this. I had better iv experiences during my Ivf treatments!
