IUI #2 today!!
So I went for my second IUI today. I was super nervous because DH sample was so "small"'again. Well thankfully he has crazy sperm cuz we ended up with 6.9 million! I was so relieve because last time we had only 3 mill. I am hoping for another BFP but one that sticks this time!! I don't know how much longer DH can do this. I think the process stresses him out more than me and I don't know how to help him get over this. We are fairly new to this journey "officially" with an RE and if this month doesn't end positively I am scared he will say no more  Anyone else have a DH with high anxiety and if so what do you do to help him through???
For now I am just hoping and praying for that BFP!!

Is there something specific that makes him anxious about it? Is there anything he thinks may make it easier for him? Is he maybe having a hard time because of the whole sample thing and that's what is bothering him? Would he feel better with producing sample and freezing it at your RE office? Have you had your DH come to any of your appointments that you get to speak to your RE? Does he have questions or concerns that he hasn't addressed yet maybe? That's what helped my DH deal a little better. That and just talking about what was really bothering him about the whole thing.
I'm sorry.  This is really stressful and emotional and exhausting. But I feel like someday it will all be worth it for all of us in some way. Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes not so much. I hope this is your month

Thank you!! I think it is the stress of his job/ commute everyday and him getting home late some days. His normal time is 7:15 or so but alot of times it is after 9 when he gets home. He leaves @7 so it's a long day. I think he is anxious about not seeing the baby except on weekends since DC might be sleeping by the time he gets home. He predicts the future when in reality he doesn't know what will happen or what it will be like. He is insecure about being involved. I try reassuring him but it is not easy.
He does go to the appts with me sometimes. Today he didn't but my last IUI he did. I don't think the anxiety is about "him" per se but the situation. He grew up without a father so I wonder if that is part of it. Him wanting to be involved 150%. If he is not around and I have to make a decision without him I think that's what makes him anxious. Not because of him not trusting my decision but that he wasn't there to help make it. Am I making any sense?

Fingers crossed for you. I have to do my bloodwork and HSG this week. DH is getting his SA and bloodwork this week too. I am a big baby but I am more worried about everything going well with him. I hope he doesn't freak out having to produce a sample. UHH. This is all so much to deal with. I hope this is your cycle.

As for DH being anxious - I have no advice, but I will say that I think it is 100% normal. Our IF journey has been very hard on my DH (I think largely because we are dealing with MFI). Everyone handles these situations differently. I just make sure I am available for him whenever he wants to talk about it.
