iTunes Fraud
I checked my bank account this morning to find 3 pending iTunes purchases that weren't from me. Called apple and they confirmed they were fraudulent charges. Someone used my debit card under another Apple ID. They couldn't tell me ANYTHING... I wanted to know what was purchased and if the person lived in NY and nothing. They said this information was confidential and said the best they could do was to refund me and shutdown the other Apple ID. Big deal. They can just open up another Apple ID.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
Why would someone steal a debit card to purchase items on iTunes for $120? What can you even purchase on iTunes that is worth it? I guess I am just so confused and frustrated.

It happens to me all the time.
The bank (since it was your debit card) needs to shut down your account and issue you a new card.
It usually happens on my credit card- I can't tell you how many times- but the CC company is great about - usually notifying us before we even know and sending us new cards
Its very very common

Really?? Ugh! This is such an inconvenience because it was my debit card. I now have to call other companies that directly pull payment from this card. I read online to purchase iTunes gift cards to prevent this. This sucks...

Happened to me years ago. There wasn't even a phone number anywhere back then so it was a huge pita to get it sorted out over email. I basically haven't used iTunes since.

Wow the same thing happened to me. As I was on the phone, another purchase was being made... Insane!
