It's the little things that amuse me
I have one of those daily calendars at home, featuring the Peanuts comic strip. I don't know why this one made me laugh hysterically
It's one of those where Snoopy is sitting on the top of his doghouse typing:
"Though her husband often went on business trips, she hated to be left alone."
"I've solved our problem," he said. "I've bought you a St. Bernard."
"Its name is Great Reluctance."
Now, when I go away, you shall know that I am leaving you with Great Reluctance!"
She hit him with a waffle iron.

growing up watching bill cosby, i find myself drawn to humor that doesn't involve profanity or other graphic descriptions. snoopy is perfect!

That's fantastic! I still read the funnies.
Do you remember "The Far Side"? Still - to this day - my favorite one is Cow Poetry and NOBODY seems to laugh at it except me.
Here's a description:
[A cow reads the following poem in front of a group of cows sitting on folding chairs:
Distant Hills
The distant hills call to me.
Their rolling waves seduce my heart.
Oh, how I want to graze in their lush valleys.
Oh, how I want to run down their green slopes.
Alas, I cannot.
Damn the electric fence!
Damn the electric fence!
