The was a leak in the heater... surprise, surprise . And they didn't fix it when his dad and bro were here - which somehow he blames me for.
So he takes a day off, and buys stuff to fix it himself. Tells me when I come home from work "its taken care of." What would you think that meant?

DH uses that when he has left a message for a contractor or someone else about something I asked him about.
Of course, it's far from taken care of.

I would think that he had trouble fixing it and called in someone else to fix it. Which in this case was his dad.
Whenever anyone one says "it's taken care of" this means they couldn't do it themselves and need to call in reinforcements. Notice he didn't say that HE took care of it.
Yes, well I've learned my lesson on that one.
And I love how he decided to tell me about it: "If I tell you something, will you get mad at me??"
Well if you have to preface something with that statement, then the answer is probably yes, I will get mad at you!

see when my DH says "its taken care of" that usually means "i've made a huge mess but i cleaned it up before you got home but the project is done! just dont ask for details!"
