It's almost time to decide...
I'm still VERY upset about what's going on. It's been making me very depressed.
Anyway, my only options at this point like I've posted a while back was to either have a Lap done again or do the Lupron for 6 months (start after the holidays) and hope that we can start TTC after the treatment. We'll have to see where we are financially by then. I'm trying to stay hopeful. My doctor is really more for the Lupron so we don't have to worry about scar tissue from the surgery. She said she won't force me to do the Lupron treatment, she just said it will be better. I still don't know what I want to do. I don't want to do either of them to be honest. I've had a Lap done before so I know what to expect, but with that I'm worried about them removing my only 1 good ovary, a tube, etc. They won't know what will happen until they are in there. My dr also said that with the Lupron that it will get rid of the Endo so that you won't even be able to see it.
What would you do? Of course I would opt to have the surgery and start TTC right after like we did with Connor, but there's no way that will happen right now due to finances. Would you just suck it up, do the Lupron for 6 months and hope that my system gets back to normal and be able to TTC after the treatment? I need to make a decision soon. Thanks!

Re: It's almost time to decide...
I have told you this before- but I did the Lupron for 6 months and I have not yet had a re-occurance.
I know you are worried about side effects down the road- but they use Lupron for fertility treatments- so how bad could it be?

I know... it's just really hard for me. I'm glad everything worked out for you, but didn't you do the Lupron back when you were a teenager and you weren't even thinking of having babies? So, it was probably an easier decision then because you weren't even considering that, no? I'm just thinking that it's a harder decision for me at my age because I REALLY want another baby and I'm afraid of it causing Infertility. I know the Endo will come back again and again. I was told it's inevitable basically. It just depends how soon and how fast. For me, it's been extremely fast. I also think the Lupron is safer for Infertility treatments because you're only doing it for a very short period of time. Even my doctor said it's not a really safe drug to do for longer periods of time. It's just scaring me when I read and hear of all of the possible side effects.
If I decide to do the Lupron (which I will probably have to), I hope that the 6 months goes by fast and I don't have the horrible side effects from it. Thanks!

Re: It's almost time to decide...
I may have been a teenager- but my fertility was of utmost importance to me throughout everything I have been through. I ALSO had 2 laparoscopies and my Endo came back. Once I did the Lupron, I haven't had to deal with it again.
It's your decision, and everytime I tell you what I did- you seem to say the same thing. If you are that afraid of the outcome of using the lupron- then I suggest you don't use it.
Can you put off the lap for a few months until you are ready to TTC?

Re: It's almost time to decide...
I really shouldn't put off a Lap if I decide to have one. It's just getting worse everyday, and my Endo seems to grow back at a very rapid pace. The only way I would decide to have a Lap is if we can TTC right away otherwise in my opinion, it was pointless in a way. It of course would alleviate the pain I have during my periods with certain things but I'd be afraid that the Endo would grow back before TTC again.
I'm most likely going to have to do the Lupron. It just feels like such an extreme measure to me. I mean putting yourself into menopause is a BIG thing to me. The only plus with that is that I know it's going to get rid of what Endo I have, even the cysts, and I won't have to worry about them surgically removing anything I need. The reason I'm so worried is because I'm not used to taking anything. I don't even like taking motrin. If I have to, I have to, but I would prefer not. I'm against taking BCP, and have never taken them prior to being diagnosed with Endo and needing to take them to manage the Endo. It's just such a large "jump" for me. I'm just worried about the outcome more. The what if's?
Thanks again for everything. I do appreciate your opinions and experience on this.
