Re: Italy trip- prices?

What part of Italy and what time of the year? Do you mean airfare or just hotels, etc?

Maybe we are going at the same time Chat Icon Chat Icon

no, I'm good with airfare.

Just hotels...I'm guestimating $25 per day for entrance fees to sites.

I want to do the "big ticket" places like Florence, Venice, Rome, etc.

But, from what I'm finding, it's looking like we're going to have to stay with the ILs once again.

Re: Italy trip- prices?

hotels varie from less than a 100 per night to more than 1000.

the hotels I plan to book are all less than 150 per night.

the only place I want to splurge is in the amalfi coast.

My problem is that we're going for Easter, which is celebrated like XMAS is over here.

I dunno- our $225/night hotel in Paris kinda sucked. We don't want to have to go through that again...

I'm thinking we should just stay with DH's uncle and aunt again. They cook for us Chat Icon

We'll still have to use the train though. We used it last time so we didn't have to inconvenience the family...

Re: Italy trip- prices?

definitely check trip advisor.
not only you can read reviews but it also checks for rates through different websites.
