Italy
Does anyone know if the bags in Gucci in Italy are a better price than if I were to buy one here? I was going to buy one here but thinking of waiting till my Italy trip.

Re: Italy
It really depends on what the Euro is doing as compared to the US dollar. Right now, I'd say it's not going to be any cheaper.
You'll probably spend the same amount of money if you were to buy it here. However, I did find that the styles were a year ahead of what was offered in the stores here - oh and I love looking at say my fendi and knowing that I bought it in Italy - it's part of my trip memories. You can't put a price on that!

Re: Italy
I was there less than a year ago, and the sticker prices were cheaper than they are in the US. Of course day to day the conversion to dollars changes so there will be variation.
Plus, no tax!!! (well, you pay it but get it back). That alone could save you $100 or so...

Re: Italy
we were in Italy last June & July and we went into the designer stores, Fendi, Gucci Dolce & Gabbana...and they were all way more expensive than they are here! Especially with the way the Euro was at that point. I iknow the Euro has gotten better from then, but your still losing money between $1 and 1 Euro

Re: Italy
Depending on how long you are there there are outlets. I went to the Prada one when I studied in Florence it was about an hour away if I am remembering correctly. They may have a gucci one I am not sure. Otherwise with the conversion I doubt you would save money.
