It was quite a night - My Evening with the WWE
Before anything else, thanks to Don for giving me ample notice for the sale of the tickets to see the Royal Rumble at the Garden last night.
I wanted to do something for DH tha I thought he would enjoy. Since taking him to a Giant game would have proven way too costly and just flat out OUT OF THE QUESTION due to my serious distaste for the sport, an opportunity to see wrestling would make him happy and in the least, entertain me.
Having no idea what I was in for, I purchased tickets over the net and got some pretty decent tickets for DH and myself. I noticed that this was in fact quite an entertainment subculture with people from all walks of life, with and without children who came with costumes and belts and signs to celebrate their wrestling heroes and have some laughs. Never did I think I would actually have fun. I sold myself short.
I will say this though, Ladies, there are NO lines at the bathroom for women as my guess has it at MAYBE 10% of the audience was women - TOPS.

I was more entertained by the crowd's passion than by the wrestling itself. Though I will say that Edge and Cena are damn good looking men.

me too. That's why I send DH to his BF's house to watch the pay-per-view matches.

I wish I had a better shot. Every time soomeone came out every 90 seconds, the whole crowd stood up and blocked me. DH had to take some of the pictures and did not realize the urgency of seeing certain "angles."
I was bummed because I couldnt see Rowdy Roddy Piper who made an appearance in the Rumble. People were psyched for OLD SCHOOL WWF. Friggin Pandas.
