it took six months...
today has been a crappy, crappy day! 
and here i am, an emotional mess... all i want to do is what i've always done on days like today: eat, and eat comfort food and sweet.
oh, and to make it better, my office is having a "bake sale" fund raiser for mothers' day... i don't even know which charity it's for, this year. the office is FULL of all the things i would eat on a day like today.
boy, do i need a new coping mechanism!

thanks!
somehow, i made it. i was able to stay away from the kitchen long enough to let everyone else eat the sweets. i'm also feeling a little better.
this battle was won. i hope the next one is a little better

Everyone has a bad day once in a while! Don't beat yourself up over it. As you said, you need to try to get some other back up plans for when you feel this way so it's not all about food. You really are one step beyond many in admitting that you eat when you feel down and also realizing that it is a problem that needs to e addressed.
