It showered yesterday!!!! But..........

I had such a nice shower. My got so many nice things. We got wayyyyyy too many clothes. Good timing to get a whole bunch of new stuff bc we're moving next weekend lol

Surprisingly though, we didn't get may diapers, we didn't get our travel system, and no bottles. Not 1.... wierd right?

Glad you had a nice shower! We only got one box of diapers and they were a size 2. We only got one small package of bottles, just 4 bottles. We had already bought our travel system ourselves.

at my shower all i got was clothing mostly. Not one box of diapers, not one diaper cake, bottle set..NOTHING OF THE SORT.

My aunts did buy our travel system and we got our hichairs (2 hichairs actually). but not many big ticket items.

i also got a graco snugride frame which i didnt register for and i have a chicco system so i have no idea why someone would randomly by this..LOL.

we did get a lot of giftcards and cash which helped us buy everything else we needed.

You'll see..people will send you stuff after the shower, after the baby comes and you'll probably wind up covering your essentials.

I had planned on buying the travel system myself but a little part of me thought it might be bought for my shower. A few people did tell me they couldn't find it on my registry...

I'm just really surprised about the bottles truthfully.

Glad you had a nce shower I didnt receive ANY diapers or bottles... I did get all my big items but some of those items I wont be needing for several months

That's funny about the bottles.

I got all my big ticket items at my shower. Got bottles, but i didn't get a lot of the smaller stuff.

People can be funny sometimes.

At mine, I didn't receive any diapers - not one! I also didn't get a lot of our big-ticket items. No pack-n-play, no carseat, no snap-n-go frame... We did get almost everything else, though, so that was a big relief!

Did you get GC's that you can use towards the stuff you didn't receive?

I am finding that alot of people stay away from bottles because with their personal experience of having to try different types etc.

Diapers I dont find surprising. Although its nice I know I always feel like diapers are pricey and it doesn't seem like I bought much so I stay away from that!

Who wants to buy bottles and diapers? That stuff is no fun!!!

I got one set of bottles, but that's it. I wouldn't buy bottles as a shower gift, even if they are on the registry, it is such trial and error that spending the $$$$ on the sets really isn't worth it.

Diapers are sort of the same thing, you don't know what brand would work for DC or size...unless the invite says they are doing a diaper wishing well, I wouldn't buy them either
