It pays to be friends with your neighbors... literally!
I posted last month about my neighbor who I had never met before that came over to talk about a fence they wanted to put up between our yards.
We had been planning to put up a fence anyway but this kicked it into high gear.
I was getting fence quotes for $5,300. for 150 feet of white decorative PVC. I just got off the phone with a guy who is a friend of my neighbor's brother...
My new quote?
$3915.00 
I saved over a thousand dollars by talking to my neighbor and working it out together. We can't afford to go halves on the fence between our yard and theirs, but we are going to give them the difference between this quote and our budget.
Not to mention, I made friends with my neighbor.
