Isurance question

Do you have to notify your insurance company if you are pregnant and
if your OBGYN sends you out for tests like to Madonna do tehy cover that or do you need a refferal??

I have Empire Blue cross blue sheild if anyone else has this can you help me out

Whats Madonna?

You should call and make sure that your OB called to pre cert your PG. But its not neccesary. The Hospital will call when you deliver to notify insurance.

Im going to Madonna in July and my insurance company at first gave us a hard time but after speaking to them they are covering the procedure.

edited to say did your doctor register you at the hospital yet? if so your doctor should submit all tests and procedures to your insurance prior for approval thats what mine did.

I have Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan. The hospital has sent me papers to fill out and give them a copy of my insurance card and then they will notify the insurance company.
