Islip Building Inspector
If someone is doing interior work at their home without a permit and a neighbor calls the town on them. Can the building inspector just knock on their door?? Anyone familar with how this works??

I think they come to the house...good luck dealing with Islip permits dept is awful

I think they can just knock on the door - don't know if you're required to let them in. And they are a PITA.
