Island rentals
Looking for a vacation for next Feb...we are between a cruise and renting a house/condo on an island...we were thinking Nassau, but we're not sure about the weather, considering it can be quite cool this time of year...any other safe islands you can suggest that might be warmer...we'd like it to be walkable (to some extent) and have a major airport nearby (no 2 hour trips from airport). Thanks!

USVI and the BVI's.
Also Look for places on VRBO and Home Away. I think thye are the same site these days but we use them all the time

I'm looking I guess for more exact locations...we will definitely use either home away, vrbo or flipkey to book. Usvi is pretty much out because we don't want to deal with the ferry ride from St Thomas to get to St John and we aren't comfortable with St. Thomas not on a resort. BVI doesn't have any nonstop flights, but we are considering Tortola anyway because we love it there, but won't go over to virgin gorda (our fav) because of the ferry.

Not islands but Costa Rica or Belize. Both you will have to change planes somewhere...if not in the US then def in country to get to the beach areas. Both very safe and reasonably priced IMO.
