Is vomiting a sign of teething?

DS was teething terribly last week but he handled it like a trooper. This morning he woke up, was laughing, had a bottle and seemed fine. I took him to daycare and an hour later they called me to come get him b/c he vomited his whole bottle and all of the fruit he has this morning. I got him and he stayed home with DH today. DH said that he was totally fine for the rest of the day. Could this whole thing be attributed to teething?

Vomiting is not usual for teething however babies sometimes gulp food if it is painful to have it in their mouth and that may cause them to vomit. Watch out for molars-it is probably still early for that (I don't know how old the baby is) but those are the ones that some kids end up with some serious bacterial infections if it is going to happen-very rare though. If the baby seems fine now it could have just been circumstance or a freak occurrence-good luck!

I dont think so. Maybe he just had an upset stomach or something he ate bothered him.

He probably just either ate too much, ate too fast, or something like that. Nina used to do that once in awhile, after she would eat.

My son always had a vomiting episode before a new tooth came in. It was icky.
