is Tide Free the same as Dreft?
I have soap allergies so I use Tide Free for all my clothes... I was hoping that it was okay to use on baby clothes too. Do you think it's the same as Dreft??

Lots of people on here (myself included) use the free & clear detergents instead of Dreft. I use All, but it's the same concept. It's never been an issue.

I use tide free and clear and all free and clear, any of the free and clear detergents really over Dreft. I used one bottle of dreft that i got at my shower and found it didn't get out the spit up stains as well as the other detergents so I switched to just the free & clears for DS's clothes. Some moms love the smell of Dreft though so they use it for that (it does smell nice).

Dreft has added fragrances, but I love the smell, because to me its a baby smell, I guess I just grew up smelling it on babies and I love it for that reason.
I actually find it gets out stains really well, I use half of whats recommended and I find it does great for us.
I use a free and clear soap too, forget the name, but its in these modern plastic one use pouches, just when I'm in a hurry, its so easy, love them too.

It's not the same - Tide Free does not have any dye or detergents, which is not true about Dreft. Dreft has some fragrance in it, but is formulated to be good for sensitive skin. I use Tide Free but I think either kind of detergent is fine. I've occasionally used Ivory Snow as well, which is more like Dreft but without the hefty price tag.
