Is this typical for 7 weeks? Help lol!
My dd fights naps so badly that she FLIPS out after a while. Red face, tears, screaming. She will be thisclose to sleep and jolt awake. Is there anything I can do? Is it a phase?

At that point, my DS was still nursing to sleep so I'm no help!

I guess I'd call it a phase lol. I stressed out around that time that my DS wouldn't nap anywhere but the stroller, swing, and if I was holding him. He wouldn't really go down for actual naps until closer to 3 or maybe 4 months. By 5 months he took 'real' naps.

Are you swaddling? My first was a dream with naps and my second has had so many bad phases with them. I would suggest swaddling and making sure to no let her get overtired. I wouldn't go more than 1-1.5 hours of awake time at that age probably.

It's pretty random. She naps anywhere, but this past week she fights them more. Nothing helps! She wakes herself as soon as she's about to go out. She'll take like one good nap and then the rest are minutes. And I don't think it's the lack of swaddling because even when she's tight in my arms she wakes herself up.
I think it's just a phase but I'm looking for a miracle answer lol

Sorry, no help because DD was the same way. I had to start co-sleeping because she refused to sleep on her own. Good news is that we transitioned her to a crib at 6 months and she became an excellent sleeper (for the most part lol)

My DS is the same way. He's bottle fed so the normal routine is usually he'll eat then about an hour later he'll start to get whiney and cry that he's tired. Sometimes he'll fight falling asleep so much that he ends up staying awake until he's ready to eat again, 3-4 hours later. Swaddling definitely helps but not always lol. My husband will do tummy time with him when he's really fussy and that tires him out too
Oh and he'll be 8 weeks on Tuesday so he's about the same age

It's typical for a 7 week old who isn't swaddled. It's called a startle reflex and all newborns have it. Try swaddling her tightly. Holding her does not accomplish this.

My DS never slept. Hated a swaddle. I just had to roll with it.
