Is this SCIATICA??
I am getting this shooting pain in my left butt cheek that hurts every time I get up from my seat at work!! It lasts for a minute or two, but once I sit down again, the next time I get up, it starts all over again....HELP!! What do you do for this??

Thats it! I'm sorry - I had this the last few weeks of my pregnancy and it was AWFUL! I could barely move sometimes but honestly staying active helped me more than lying around. Take it easy when you shift from seated or laying down to standing!

YES, that is definitely sciatica. Sucks, doesn't it? Mine started at Week 7! 
The only thing that's really helping to alleviate the pain is to do a cross-legged stretch. Does the pain shoot down your leg? You can lay on the floor, and cross the leg with the pain so that your ankle is resting on your knee. Then, pull the knee of that leg toward your chest as much as possible. Then, when you get more comfortable, you can lift the other leg at the same time to get a better stretch.
It's not much, but it does help when it gets really painful.

yup, sounds like it. started for me at 9 weeks. it is now on and off, but hope it doesn't mean I'm really in for it later on in the pregnancy.

I feel your pain! I know I have been going through this and it is getting worse too as the baby drops...I have found standing or sitting too long aggrivates it.
If I lay down with my feet up it goes away. Also heat sometimes helps but the baby is on the nerve so you have to try and move her...going on all fours, like a dog I read helps too!
